Baseball Spring 2026 - Spring 2026

LWYA Recreational Baseball is an eight (8) week season that includes up to twelve (12) scheduled regular season games for ages 5 and up. Blastball is a basic fundamentals game for ages three (3) and four (4) where no outs or runs are counted. The registration fee covers the cost of player's uniform shirts and hats* for Baseball, the cost of player’s uniform shirts and visors* for Softball, and an end-of-season trophy.  The registration fee also covers operating costs such as game field rentals and preparations, umpires**, PONY registration, and liability insurance. Players will be responsible to purchase other uniform items, such as pants, belts, socks, cleats, playing glove, bat, and batting helmet.

Each player will be added to a team regardless of skill level and/or past participation as outlined here in the "LWYA Baseball Standing Rules". Players are assigned to divisions based on the player's age as of August 29, 2025 in accordance to "PONY Baseball Rules and Regulations". Regular Season starts in September and ends in October. Games will be scheduled during weekdays and Saturdays.

* Hats & visors will be covered by the league depending on availability. No refund will be provided for hats or visors that are not received.
**As of Spring 2023 there is an umpire shortage. If umpires cancel at the last minute or do not show up to umpire a game, the LWYA is not responsible to refund any registration money for issues outside of its control. ****IMPORTANT NOTE**** ALL registration fees must be received no later than August 13th. Registrations that have not paid by the deadline will be considered incomplete and the participant WILL NOT be placed on a team. Full refunds are not available after uniforms have been ordered. NO REFUNDS available after September 1, 2023. Payment plans are available upon request on a case by case basis (please contact us to discuss).

Softball Spring 2026 - Spring 2026

LWYA Recreational Spring Softball is an eight (8) week season that includes up to twelve (12) scheduled regular season games for ages 5 and up.

Blastball is a basic fundamentals game for ages three (3) and four (4) and holds a six (6) scheduled game season. Each player will be added to a team regardless of skill level and/or past participation as outlined in the "LWYA Baseball Standing Rules - The Draft".

Players are assigned to divisions based on the player's age as of August 29, 2025 (including Blastball) in accordance to "PONY Baseball/Softball Rules and Regulations".

Registration fees cover the cost of the player's jerseys, hat, and an end-of-season participation trophy. It will also cover operating costs (i.e. umpires, field rental and preparation, utilities, etc). Players will be responsible to purchase other uniform items, such as pants, socks, belts, cleats, playing glove and batting helmet.

Regular Season starts in March and ends in August. Games will be scheduled during the weekdays and Saturdays. All members are requested to serve one weekend at the Home concession stand. Sign ups will go out once game schedules are finalized.

***We are always in need of volunteer coaches. If you're interested, fill out the volunteer registration. Commissioner will select the coaches each season. Basketball 2025-2026 - Annual 2025

LWYA Recreational Basketball program is affiliated with the Tarrant County Youth Basketball Association and the TAAF Region IV Youth Basketball league. Our program is open for players ranging from ages 5 through 13.

Registration fees cover the cost of the player's uniforms (Shorts & Jerseys) either two sets or reversible uniforms. It will also cover operating costs (i.e. gym rental and preparation, utilities, etc). Players will be responsible to purchase other uniform items outside of what it provided and a practice ball.

Regular season starts in January and ends in March. League tournament will take place at the end of the regular season.  Championship teams in division 9U, 11U, and 13U may have the opportunity to play in the TAAF Regional and State tournament in March.  Practices normally starts end of November/first week of December. ALL TEAMS/COACHES ARE REQUIRED TO SERVE/ASSIST DURING GAME DAYS AT THE CONCESSIONS STAND, MONITOR THE STANDS/BLEACHERS, OR WORK THE DOOR DURING THE SEASON.  Coaches can have a assistant coach or parent fill in as well.  Depending on how many teams we have this season will allow us to have a rotating help/volunteer schedule each week.  Sign ups list will go out once game schedules are finalized.  WORKING THE CLOCK/BOOKS FOR A GAME will be based on league rules and will apply to all teams home or away.
